Oba Ogunwusi Marries Another Wife From Edo

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has got married to another wife, Olori Wuraola nee Obanor.

Ooni of Ife appoints Adediwura as new Obalufe

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has appointed Comrade Idowu Olaniyi Adediwura from Ajagbusi Royal House of Orunto as the new Obalufe of Ife Kingdom.

Adediwura replaces late Oba Folorunso Omisakin who died in October 2015.

Ooni of Ife urges Ipetumodu, Asipa communities to embrace peace



The Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, has called on the people of Ipetumodu and Asipa to sheath their swords, embrace peace and live together harmoniously.

He made the call yesterday in his Palace when he played host to the Justice Falola Judicial Commission of Inquiry on the Ipetumodu and Asipa communal dispute.

National Confab: Oba Ojutalayo Hinges Peace On Constitutional Role For Traditional Rulers

A traditional ruler on Wednesday in Lagos appealed to the delegates to the ongoing National Conference to carve out special roles for traditional rulers in the new Constitution.

Oba Kole Ojutalayo, the Laroka of Waniki in Ile-Ife, Osun State told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that permanent peace in the country would depend on the role assigned to traditional rulers.
