Ootu Ife 2026: Iremo vs Okerewe or Iremo vs Coach Sunday Egbesakin
ILE-IFE — The stage is set for an epic showdown in the final of the Ootu Ife Football Competition, organized by the Ife Youth Organization. While the official fixture pits Iremo against Okerewe, the real story centers on a tactical battle, Iremo taking on the formidable mind of Okerewe's manager Sunday Egbesakin.
Coming off back-to-back championship victories in 2024 and 2025, Egbesakin has firmly established himself as one of the most decorated and ruthless grassroots managers in Osun State. Facing his side in a final requires far more than standard match preparation, it demands a flawless execution. When silverware is on the line, Egbesakin simply does not play to lose.

Elevating Ilé-Ifẹ̀ Football: Why Home and Away Kits Are Non-Negotiable for Grassroots Clubs

It is an embarrassing reality that several football clubs in Ilé-Ifẹ̀, some of which have been in existence for over five years, cannot boast of even two complete sets of match jerseys (Home and Away).
